Early in the morning a
girl named Emma got a new puppy.
Emma’s new puppy was
cute as a baby. But the problem was that the adoption centres care
takers hated puppies. They said they were filthy, foul, ugly things.
They tried everything to get rid of the puppy but Emma wouldn’t let
them.
One day Emma went to
school without her puppy. The care takers took the puppy and put it in a
tiny box then they took the box to the beach. Emma came home and looked
high and low for the puppy but the puppy was nowhere to be found.
Emma took a walk down to
the beach. Emma saw a strange shape under the bush just seeing a brown
corner. Emma didn’t know what it was. Emma went over to see what it was.
Emma said to herself, "What if it’s a.......... " Emma stopped talking
she was so scared. Emma, brave as a lion, opened the box and found her
puppy. She picked her up and held her so tightly and said, “I will never
leave you again”.
Emma rushed back as fast
as she could. Her feet were killing her. Emma got back and hid the
puppy.
The next morning Emma
found out that she was adopted. She was so happy she was jumping for
joy. Emma asked her new parents if they loved dogs they said “Yes”. Emma
quickly took the puppy and packed her things and left and never returned
to the orphanage again.

AN EXPOSITION
CHILDREN SHOULD NOT
DO HOMEWORK
I am in Year Four and I personally think kids should not
do homework as we work all day at school. Besides, who likes homework?
The first reason children should not do homework is that
children like to relax after school. If we lean over to do homework, we
may get a sore hand or neck.
Homework takes up our playtime. Kids need to socialise
with friends and family. If we don’t play outside, we won’t make good
relationships.
Also teachers have to work hard marking homework. Be nice
to teachers by banning homework.
I have better things to do in my time such as swimming,
playing the piano, and practising percussion. Homework stops me doing
these things.
Kids fight with their parents about homework. We’re
supposed to love our mum and dad and fighting doesn’t show love.
As you can see, homework causes heaps of problems. Let’s
ban it right away!

My Grandparents

My grandparents are so loveable it’s too
hard to explain. They take me on fun outings, they take care of me, and
they show me and teach me new things and most of all I love them and
they love me. My best memory with my grandparents was when Granny took
me to the Maritime Museum. I went on a submarine, a war ship, and two
pirate ships and still got me a souvenir. My Granny looks after me on
Tuesday after school and my other Granny looks after me on Thursday.
Both of them make dinner for every body. When I go to see my Great
Granny she always insists on spoiling us and my Pop when I go visit at
home he tells us funny stories. I help my other Poppy with painting and
building stuff. I love my grandparents so, so much and this is
only some of the reasons.

My Grandparents are really special to me
because they take me to do stuff that other people don’t do. My Grampsy
takes me fishing and my Grandma teaches me to knit and when I do
something wrong they don’t have a hissy fit but there is one more
reason.
They always come when something special
happens even though they live five hours away. I love them and they love
me and I could stay at their house forever.

Children should not eat
fruit every day because they might not like the taste of it or you might
not have enough money. People might have allergies to fruit or it
might take too long to eat or you might not have time to do any
homework. On the
other hand, I think eating fruit is a good idea because it is healthy.
There's no fat in it. There's a variety of fruits with lots of
vitamins. It tastes so good and it is so easy to carry and easy to
eat quickly.
In conclusion, I think it
is not a good idea to have fruit every day because some children have
never eaten it before.

money by buying fruit every day.
Firstly, if you eat fruit
too much you will vomit and you will feel sick. Secondly, the
fruit might be sprayed by chemicals or have sugar in it. Thirdly,
people can't afford it and people can be allergic to fruit.

Firstly it could be brown
and rotten inside. Secondly, people could be allergic to some
types of fruit and have an allergic reaction. Lastly, it's a waste
of money because they take it to school or work and throw it in the bin.
In conclusion, I think
people shouldn't eat fruit every day. They should eat it when they
feel like it and not every day.
