Today we had a video conference with Mayrung Public School. First we had to set up the camera so it was pointing in the right direction. Then we called Mayrung Public School. Anne-maree, who was at Macquarie University ICT, was in charge of the conference.

Daniel and Emily began the video conference with the welcoming of Mayrung. We were first to present what we had to share with Mayrung. Everyone on the website team created a question about our school to make a quiz for Mayrung. They thought it was really fun although they didn’t always get the questions right.

Next, Mayrung had some information about their school to share with us. Some of the interesting facts about their school was that they were 42km away from the nearest town, Deniliquin, and that they only had 27 students and 2 teachers in their whole school!  Afterwards, they had some questions to quiz us about THEIR school. Their school is nearly as old as our school because they were celebrating their 125th birthday this year! Did you know? The mum of a football player works at Mayrung Public School.

We had a great time and at the end we all said good bye. We all really look forward to our next video conference with them!
