NARRATIVE On another Monday morning, Joshua and James were in the school bus. It was raining outside. “It looks so miserable outside” said James, looking outside the bus window. When they arrived at school, they had Maths, English and Art to do. Soon it was over and they went to play handball. While they were playing, James accidently slipped and hit Mike, the school bully. Mike got so angry that he started swearing at James and was going to bash him up. James tried to run but Mike caught up with him. On the last devastating moment, Joshua pushed James out of the way and got hit instead. Even though it wasn’t too severe, he had to get crutches. The next day, James told the principal about what happened and in the afternoon, Joshua got an award and a medal. Did you think Mike got away with it? Well no, the principal told his mother and she was so angry that she sent him to ‘Behaviour School’. by Phillip |
EMMA'S NEW PUPPY Early in the morning a girl named Emma got a new puppy. Emma’s new puppy was as cute as a baby. But the problem was that the adoption centres caretakers hated puppies. They said they were filthy, foul, ugly things. They tried everything to get rid of the puppy but Emma wouldn’t let them. One day Emma went to school without her puppy. The care takers took the puppy and put it in a tiny box then they took the box to the beach. Emma came home and looked high and low for the puppy but the puppy was nowhere to be found. Emma took a walk down to the beach. Emma saw a strange shape under the bush just seeing a brown corner. Emma didn’t know what to do. Emma, as scared as a mouse went over to see what it was. She said to herself, “What if it is a...........” Emma stopped talking she was so nervous. She opened the box and found her puppy. She picked her puppy up and held it so tightly then said ”I will never leave you again”. Emma with her puppy ran as fast as they could. Her feet were killing her but she kept on running. When she got back she hid the puppy. The next day she found out that she was adopted. Emma was so happy that she was jumping for joy. Her new parents loved dogs and she was so happy. By Claudia, Y5 |

MY WEEK 6 JOURNAL On Saturday I went to the Pennant Arcade at Pennant Hills. My auntie was getting her hair cut. We all knew the hairdresser. His name was Mikey Khoudair. My auntie had her hair trimmed at the front and curled at the back beautifully. The curls went about halfway up her hair. We were going to try to do it but she would always scream. The day was great. MY WEEKEND FROM MY WEEK 6 JOURNAL On Friday afternoon I went to my grandmother’s house for the weekend. For dinner I made meat parcels. It was yummy! After dinner we had caramelised bananas with ice cream. On Saturday I went to Garrick’s house to play. For lunch we had a cheese pizza. After lunch we had a donut and lemon cake. When Garrick’s dad got off the computer we went on and played Maple Story. When I went home Garrick let me borrow one of his games and I’ve been playing it ever since. Ben B. 5L |

CHILDREN SHOULD WEAR SCHOOL UNIFORM by Alex 5R
It is my belief children should wear school uniform because it makes life easier. Most people wear school uniform all over Australia and the world. To begin with I believe everyone in Australia should wear school uniform because you look tidier. If you wear other clothes people might bully you and tease you because you don't have the best clothes or the latest fashion.
As well as this, children much around and be stupid just because they wear different clothes and they think they can go crazy every day. When they go in excursions, it is hard to identify them if they get lost.
Last of all, the school uniform is easier to choose than an outfit from a stack of clothes to pick from. And it doesn't cause fights while choosing their clothes.
In conclusion, the uniform is easier to take care of, it lasts longer and it's easier to wash. I hope you are on my side and wear school uniform. |
